Grandma Selma

My Grandma took a fall during the night and ended up breaking her tail bone.  We had to put her in the nursing home as a result and move her out of her Senior Housing digs in Roseau to the Warroad nursing home.  She was in rough shape and taking some pretty heavy pain killers, OT Therapy and needed a lot of TLC so the nursing home seemed like the best place for her.  What an amazing place and not your typical nursing home.  It has what is called "Main Street" which has a beauty salon, theater, chapel and even a pub.  Not that my grandma will be there for happy hour, she would never dream of it, but the most beautiful place for her to be to recover and get back on her feet.

Dancing for Great Grandma

We took Reagan to see Great Grandma and it was amazing how she just lit up when she saw her--what kids can do!!  Grandma was smiling and wanting to play patty-cake and tickle her.  Great Grandma looked a little different laying in a bed, on pain killers so it took some time for Reagan to warm up.  We had Reagan wear her Princess Halloween costume in one day to go and trick-or-treating and this did the trick as Grandma filled up Reagan's pumpkin pail and Reagan kept coming back for more.  Reagan waved her magic wand to make Great Grandma feel better.
